Culinary Retreat:
Noted culinary instructor Karen Adler comes to the Weaver Hotel for the third annual CULINARY RETREAT.
Karen has taught throughout the country from Copia in Napa Valley, California, to A Southern Season in Raleigh, North Carolina, to Cooks of Crocus Hill in Minneapolis, MN.
She has been featured in “Grill Gals” on the TV Food Network and appeared on national TV for Dole Bananas, plus appearances at t the Seattle Book Festival and the LA Times Book Festival.
She is author of more than 16 cookbooks including The BBQ Queens Big Book of BBQ, Fish & Shellfish Grilled & Smoked, 25 Essential Techniques for Planking and the Best Little BBQ Cookbook Series. Her love of cooking began when she married her hunter husband and her first lesson in cooking pheasant came from good friend LuAnne Roepke of Waterville, Kansas. The two of them have enjoyed cooking for each other over the last 25 years and as Karen’s cookbook career flourished, they cooked up the Culinary Weekend at the Weaver Hotel as an annual fundraiser.
